The villages located in Tapak tuan subdistrict are Hulu, Tepi Air, Jaboapha, Gunung Kerambil and Batuhitam. Based on the latest data, Gunung Kerambil village is worst hit by the floods, they said.
At least 30 homes in the village were seriously damaged by floods which caused three rivers in the subdistrict to overflow.
A number of residents took a refuge in a nearby Al Abror mosque.
Rains were reportedly still falling heavily during the day and local people were alert over unwanted things.
The natural disaster has caused a material loss which is still recorded.(*) K/H
